What foods are rich in protein?

Our body uses protein mainly for repairing damaged tissue resulting from either workouts or sickness/injuries. We need complete proteins to do this, which only come from animal products (excluding gelatin) and soy. Vegetarians shouldn't worry as long as their diets are complete and balanced. Many proteins that come from animal sources are associated with high amounts of saturated fats. Good sources are lean meats and low/fat free dairy products. Fish, chicken and turkey are good, as well as lean cuts of beef. Soy which is a vegetable source of protein has been shown to provide many health benefits for the heart.
