1. Too Busy/Not Enough Time. One of the most popular excuses for not exercising is being too busy or not having enough time during the day. If you're having this issue, your problem is time management; you need to make better use of the time you have. Taking one hour of each day isn't very hard to set aside. You can wake up earlier to go to the gym before work or school. If you find yourself rushing in the morning, prepare everything you need (food, clothes...) before you go to sleep so you don't have to do as much to do. You can also split up large exercise blocks into smaller 10-15 minute ones throughout the day.

2. Don't Know How. Exercising is very easy. Pick 3-5 days each week and designate them as exercise days. If you're just starting out, pick three days rather than five. Next, go to the gym and pick 1-2 machines for each major muscle group and do 1-2 sets (of 8-12 repetitions per set) on each machine. For a cardiovascular workout, pick an activity that gets your heart pumping (sports, running, stair climbing) for at least 30 minutes per day, 3-5 times per week. 3. Not a Member of a Gym. Think of a gym as a luxury rather than a necessity when working out. It's really nice to have but you can still get by without it. Equipment-free exercises include running,
swimming, push ups, sit ups, pull ups and body weight squats. Any exercise you can do with weights can be modified to be done with somewhat heavy objects around the house.
4. Don't Need to Lose Weight. A lot of people think that exercise is only for people that want to lose weight. While exercise can defiantly help you lose weight, you can benefit from it even if you're at a normal weight. Exercise will make you feel better, help you with daily activities and improve your overall health. Everyone, even people who are at a healthy weight can benefit from these improvements. Remember, healthy weight alone isn't always a good indicator of overall health.
5. Too Lazy. Are you too lazy to workout? Tough luck. Get off you rear and start moving. Exercise has plenty of health benefits including increased bone density, lower cholesterol levels, and decreased blood pressure. Will you continue to be lazy when these health problems start to take control of your life? Being lazy now will cost you lengthy doctor visits and expensive medicines later. You have a lot of control over which path you take.
