03 Apr 2012 Reading CNN's post about obese people's fashion leads you to believe that we live in a society where fat people are denied the basic liberties of life. These "fatshion" bloggers are either ignorant to the health problems associated with obesity or find it easier to stay fat and claim that the problem is with society rather than their own lifestyle choices. People who are obese have a much higher risk of health problems including but not limited to heart disease, strokes, cancer and diabetes. Instead of wasting energy on creating a phony civil rights issue, the fat acceptance movement needs to look in the mirror and realize it's not OK to be fat, sick and unhealthy.

16 Mar 2012 I started a diet about 6 weeks ago to lose weight. I am trying to follow a pattern of healthy eating and going to the gym 5 days a week. At the gym I jog, do uphill walking, cross training, etc. My diet consists of eating healthily, cutting out crisps/chocolates/fatty/snacks etc. I eat 3 well-balanced meals a day. The problem is though I haven't lost any weight - instead the scales show me that I have put it on! I really don't understand though because my clothes seem to be becoming slightly loose.
